The story

The biggest art heist in Dutch history

In a pub, two men come up with a daring plan. Not a kidnapping like the Heineken case: they are going to pull off an art heist. The target: three world-famous paintings by Vincent van Gogh.

For weeks they watch the security at the Kröller-Müller Museum, searching meticulously for weak spots. They find one: a poorly secured window.

On Monday evening, 12 December, they strike. The alarm goes off straight away. Seven minutes later the police arrive, but the thieves are already gone with The Loom, The Potato Eaters and Sunflowers Gone to Seed.

The only lead: a car with French number plates. Can you track down the paintings?
